Interfor Hammond Cedar

Interfor Corporation are one of the largest lumber producers in the world.The company's sawmilling operations have a combined manufacturing capacity of over 3 billion board feet of lumber with sales to North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe. Interfor is based in Vancouver, BC and employs approximately 3400 people. Interfor operates the Hammond Cedar Sawmill in the community of Maple Ridge, BC. The Hammond Mill has been a big influence on the lives of people living in the Maple Ridge area for over a century. The mill was built in 1908, acquired by Interfor in 1992 – and today is the largest western red cedar mill in the world. The Hammond Mill produces quality cedar products for customers at home and around the world. The world-famous Stanley Park in downtown Vancouver boasts cedar 2x6s in the new elevated boardwalk north of Lost Lagoon. That’s coastal BC wood from Interfor’s Hammond Cedar Mill.
